The Lectio 2011 will be presented by professor Beppe Vacca

For its yearly event namely the Lectio, Fondazione Trentina Alcide De Gasperi has chosen Beppe Vacca, from Puglia, university professor, historian of political doctrines and politician. He had been deputy for two legislatures, member of the Central Committee of the Italian Communist Party from 1972 to 1991; he is one of the most important scholars of the Italian Marxism and since 1988 chairs the Istituto Gramsci of Rome.

Professor Vacca will present the Lectio Magistralis 2011, the event organized by the Foundation each year at Pieve Tesino to honor the memory of the statesman. For this, on Thursday, August 18 he will focus on the theme:
